Lumajang, is a district in East Java province, Indonesia. The capital is Lumajang. District borders the northern district of Probolinggo, Jember regency to the west, the Indian Ocean in the south, and west of Malang Regency.

Since the inscription of Mula Manurung expressed as the inscriptions on the oldest and mention "State Lamajang" it is considered as a starting point for consideration of the day so Lumajang.
